Klamath Falls Is Festive
An important facet of community life is coming together as one to have fun and celebrate.
There is no better way to understand a community than to partake in its celebrations and festivities. Klamath Falls is host to several celebrations throughout the year which the whole family can enjoy.
Celebrating wildlife, most especially our winged-friends, is the Klamath Basin Winter Wings Festival. Commanding four full days of every President's Weekend, this festivity starts out in Downtown Klamath Falls. It offers an evening enveloped with music, shopping, arts, and tasty treats for all.
Another celebration unique to Klamath Falls is Pelicans on Parade, or “POP”. The event is actually a fundraiser with offerings of 7-foot sculpted pelicans that are auctioned off to fund educational projects of the city's Wingwatchers.
At Christmas time, residents of Klamath have their Snowflake Festival. Starting the season off with a lighting ceremony at City Hall and then a snowflake parade serenaded with handbells and choral concerts, with cookies with a cup of hot cider to boot, this is one fun way to kick off the holiday season!
